What's on the Piatkus Christmas wish list?

The countdown to Christmas has officially begun and we couldn't resist finding out what presents the Piatkus team are hoping to discover under their trees this year!

'For Christmas this year I would love Angela Carter’s Book of Wayward Girls and Wicked Women – they’re fabulous, subversive short stories – perfect for dipping in (between family duties!) with a large glass of red wine and a mince pie. Plus, the cover is wonderfully stylish, making it a perfect present. The other thing I would like to find in my stocking this year is a pair of cashmere socks as my feet are always cold in bed during the winter!'  Lucy Icke – Assistant Editor, Piatkus Fiction

'This Christmas I'd like Trick of the Dark by Val McDermid (I like a nice bit of crime!). I'd also love to read Living Dolls by Natasha Walter, but just haven't got round to it'  Jillian Stewart – Project Editor, Piatkus Non-Fiction

'My L,B wish list book is Even Silence has an End by Ingrid Betancourt.

And my non-work wish list present would involve me being whisked away to Denmark and enjoying a slap-up meal in the best restaurant in the world, Noma!' Donna Condon – Commissioning Editor, Piatkus Fiction

'Dear Santa,

Please could you bring me a copy of  What Mothers Do by Naomi Stadlen. It’s the perfect book for a new mum like me, and I can’t wait to read her follow-up next year, How Mothers  Love. And because I love my DVD boxsets, please could I have the latest series of Mad Men?' Helen Stanton – Commissioning Editor, Piatkus Non-Fiction

'This year I would love Father Christmas to bring me To Algeria, with Love by Suzanne Ruta and the American Office on dvd!' Sophie Harris – Editorial Assistant, Piatkus Fiction and Non-Fiction

'A set of Virago Modern Classics is top of my wish list this year – not only do they look gorgeous but they're fabulous books too. I'd also love to go somewhere hot and sunny to escape the snow although that's looking pretty unlikely!'  Zoe Goodkin – Junior Editor, Piatkus Non-Fiction
