It's our pleasure to accounce that not one, not two, but THREE of our fantastic authors were recognised for their excellence in romantic fiction at the Romance Writers of America Awards! It's an extreme honour from across the pond and authors were judged from amongst over 1,200 novels and novellas. Congratulations Ladies! We here at Piatkus are so proud!

2012 RITA Winner for Paranormal Romance: Thea Harrison for DRAGON BOUND

Half-human and half-wyr, Pia Giovanni spent her life keeping a low profile among the wyrkind and avoiding the continuing conflict between them and their Dark Fae enemies. But after being blackmailed into stealing a coin from the hoard of a dragon, Pia finds herself targeted by one of the most powerful – and passionate – of the Elder Races.

As the most feared and respected of the wyrkind, Dragos Cuelebre cannot believe someone had the audacity to steal from him, much less succeed. And when he catches the thief, Dragos spares her life, claiming her as his own to further explore the desire they've ignited in one another.

2012 RITA Winner for Best First Book: Darynda Jones for FIRST GRAVE ON THE RIGHT

Private investigator Charlotte Davidson was born with three things: looks; a healthy respect for the male anatomy; and the rather odd job title of grim reaper. Since the age of five, she has been helping the departed solve the mysteries of their deaths so they can cross. Thus, when three lawyers from the same law firm are murdered, they come to her to find their killer.

In the meantime, Charley's dealing with a being more powerful – and definitely sexier – than any spectre she's ever come across before. With the help of a pain-in-the-ass skip tracer, a dead pubescent gangbanger named Angel, and a lifetime supply of sarcasm, Charley sets out to solve the highest profile case of the year and discovers that dodging bullets isn't nearly as dangerous as falling in love.

2012 RITA Winner for Romantic Suspense: J.D. Robb for NEW YORK TO DALLAS

Eve Dallas was just a rookie cop when her instincts led her to the apartment of Isaac McQueen, a murderer and paedophile, who was keeping young girls in cages. Now a homicide Lieutenant, Eve is one of the most distinguished officers in the city – and then she learns that McQueen has escaped from jail.

Bent on revenge against Eve and with a need to punish more 'bad girls' McQueen heads to Dallas, Texas – the place where Eve was found as a child, the place where she killed her own abusive monster when she was only eight-years-old. With Eve and her husband Roarke in pursuit of McQueen, everything is on the line and secrets from the past are about to be explosively revealed.
