We were so excited when we published the 5th and final book in Larissa Ione's Demonica Series, Sin Undone, at the same time as the US and since August we have been releasing the rest of the series in consecutive months (we know you read as quickly as we do!
Here, Larissa Ione tells us a bit about the Sin Undone and why she is also looking forward to becoming part of the UK scene. . .
First, I want to say how excited I am that my Demonica series is being published in the U.K.! What a great excuse to make the flight over (I mean, those books on the book store shelves need to be signed, right?)
I fell in love with Great Britain when I was stationed at RAF Mildenhall during my Air Force days, and I now visit as often as I can (which, unfortunately, isn't as often as I'd like to.) I love it so much that I've written several U.K. locations into my books, and in fact, you'll see a little of Scotland in Sin Undone, because the hero, Conall, is from there.
So who is Conall? He's a dhampire — a rare mix of werewolf and vampire — who is also a paramedic at Underworld General Hospital. In Sin Undone, a deadly virus has been unleashed, and he's forced to spend time with the person responsible, our heroine, Sin, a half-breed demon he both lusts after and hates.
Sin has had a rather painful and turbulent history, and as a result, she trusts no one but her twin brother, Lore. As Sin Undone unfolds, she must learn to rely on not only Con, but on her newfound half-brothers, Eidolon, Shade, and Wraith, as well. In addition, she finds that in order to survive, she'll need to redefine her ideas about family and love.
Speaking of Eidolon, you'll get his story in Pleasure Unbound. He, along with Shade and Wraith, run Underworld General, and as the story opens, Eidolon, who is entering a phase in his life that could turn him fully demon, is trying to avoid that fate. He loves being a doctor, and he loves his life, but if he doesn't take a mate, all he knows will be lost.
Enter Tayla, a demon slayer with a hatred for all things underworldly. When she finds herself as a patient at a hospital dedicated to saving the very creatures she slaughters with relish, she's catapulted into something out of her own nightmares. But what she learns about both herself and the beings she has only known as the enemy turns her world upside down and forces her to confront her past, her future, and the prejudices that have kept her from happiness.
I hope you enjoy the dark, steamy, gritty world I've created, and I definitely hope my love of the U.K. shines through. I'd be thrilled to hear from you, so please feel free to contact me through my website at www.LarissaIone.com. Happy reading, and cheers!!
